Presented by:
Laura Davies
Discover creative and engaging ways to enrich place-based education using a variety of technological tools. Laura will provide examples of how integrating technology with place-based learning increases engagement, improves public speaking skills, and often leads to students becoming active members of their community. Laura will highlight how she has used Flipgrid, Mystery Skype, social media, the local radio station and newspaper, a classroom blog, and digital microscopes to strengthen the students’ sense of place while learning about the world beyond their school and small community in Alaska.
