This workshop will focus on the incredible journey that Kindergarten students have taken to develop a maker mindset and be immersed in the “Making” journey. We will share examples of how mentor texts, technology and materials were used from a lens of equity, access and culturally responsive practise. Examples of student work will be shared and celebrated. We will also have opportunities for pedagogical reflection as we look at “making” across the Four Frames of the Kindergarten Program Document. As a community, we will co-create a Padlet of resources that you can “take with you”. This workshop is intended to honour both virtual learning environments and face-to-face classroom environments.
