Leslie has worked with the Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board since 2004. She currently is the Principal of Mary Immaculate School, but don’t let her role fool you; Leslie has a passion for educational technology, assistive technology, and integrating technology tools that enhance student learning.
Leslie has held many roles in which she has used technology to lead student learning, including, “Technology in Learning Consultant,” “Instructional Coach,” “Special Education Resource Teacher” and “Classroom Teacher.” She has facilitated workshops and PD sessions for teachers at her school, her board, at OTF’s Pedagogy B4 Technology conferences, Connect Conferences, at Bring It Together conferences, and loves to share her learning. Her favourite thing about education includes the people she meets and new ideas!
During our time together, we will take a look at how using the simple features of Book Creator will allow both you and your students to publish books and media that you are proud of and will want to share! Session will include:
- How to get started with Book Creator! Learn all about Book Creator’s simple, yet powerful, features.
- Using Book Creator in the special education classroom, spotlight a variety of features that make Book Creator a great choice for a variety of learning environments.
- Audio and video support
- Using voice-to-text and narration
- Accessibility features
- Differentiated learning
- And finally, we will take a closer look at some brand new features that are hot off the press by the creators of Book Creator!
Plus, as an added bonus, Leslie will also quickly demonstrate Chatterpix and PuppetEDU!
