This session is an overview of an environmental sustainability project that our Virtual class completed by writing a ‘Diary of a Plastic Water Bottle’ and coding these Diaries into Scratch. This session will lead participants through the process with which students learned about the parts of a river, how a river forms at its source, and how human activities affect river water (and ecosystems) along its journey from the source to its final destination. Join this session to learn how you can lead your students through a similar learning journey that encapsulates the Global Competencies and digital learning. All key lesson resources (Jamboard, slides, Scratch instructions, sample stories) will be shared during this session.
