InkSmith: Purpose-Driven Learning in the Classroom: Teaching coding through the lens of the UN SDGs
Alex Meilutis
Join us as we explore climate change issues through inquiry, coding, and project-based learning with the micro:bit and the Land Climate Action Kit. Together, we will explore United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals 15 (Life on Land) and 13 (Climate Action) through interactive, inquiry-based learning activities as well as coding and physical computing. This webinar will showcase the kit’s learning potential available for students and provide participants with a hands-on coding activity associated with the Plants and Pollinators they can immediately take it into their classrooms. Our goal is to not only develop an understanding of issues surrounding Climate Action, but also help learners to understand how the technologically advanced world around them works. Participants will have the chance to win 1 of 3 Climate Action Kits!
