In this workshop, you will learn how various technologies can be leveraged in history classes to give the subject more, well, dimension. Learn about how we created a portable–and interactive–museum of ancient Rome using 3D printers and QR codes. Explore a 3D museum built in the Unreal Game Engine featuring models of museum artifacts scanned by students via photogrammetry. Finally, learn about early 20th century Canadian history by exploring Main Street, a Minecraft world featuring a fictitious Canadian town filled with active citizens and relevant primary resources; as you explore, watch for applications of the Historical Thinking Concepts.
