About explorAItion! 2.0

Following on the success of the explorAItion! virtual conference in the spring of 2025, explorAItion! 2.0 returned in an extended format for the 2025-26 school year. The collaborative virtual conference explored the use of Artificial Intelligence in Ontario Education.

Our series began on Thursday, September 25th, with an opening Keynote address, The Promises and Pitfalls of Integrating Artificial Intelligence in Education, by Dr. Amanda Cooper. 

The exporAItion! 2.0 conference series ran from September 2025 through April 2026 on the following evenings: 

• Thursday, September 25 – recordings & slides available to all registrants
• Wednesday, October 22 – recordings & slides available to all registrants
• Tuesday, December 2 – recordings & slides available to all registrants
• Tuesday, January 13 – recordings & slides available to all registrants
• Wednesday, February 25 – recordings & slides available to all registrants
• Thursday, April 2 – recordings available to all registrants ✅

Each evening offered a selection of 30- and 60-minute workshops between 7 – 9 pm. Workshops were recorded so that registrants could access the entire proceedings during and following the explorAItion! 2.0 series.

Key objectives of the conference:

Knowledge sharing: Sharing current case studies and practice using AI applications in education.

Networking: Facilitating connections between educators, technologists, and policymakers,

Showcasing Innovation: Highlighting innovative AI tools and platforms that are shaping the future of education and answering the question “How are people using AI in the classroom?”

Building Collaborative Opportunities: Identifying potential partnerships and collaborations with colleagues across the province.

Ethics and Responsibility: Engaging in important discussions around the use of AI, the challenges, and responsibilities of educators in its adoption.
