Mary Walker Hope Director at Large

I feel very privileged to be on the Board of Directors for ECOO for this term. After attending BIT in 2014 and 2015, I was blown away by the knowledge and community that filled the space. That, in turn, inspired me to bring my own learning to the table so I took on the role of presenter in 2016. Throughout my 35 years of teaching, I have loved thinking and creating curriculum that could be considered outside the box. Students thrive when education is relevant and if we, as educators, can step out of our comfort zone and take some risks with different approaches to learning, we will see an impact. ECOO is a community that embodies that risk-taking approach and I strongly agree with Adele’s vision for ECOO in that we need to increase the organization’s visibility as a powerful tool for Ontario educators to embrace for current thinking, resources and connections for educational technology. I am excited to help facilitate that.
